Gentle, High-Capacity Fish Pumps
VAKI offers a range of fish pumps designed for high capacity and efficiency, precision control, and gentle handling of fish to ensure fish welfare.
Built for the job
Features that make transfers safer and faster
Self-priming, no manual start
A rugged industrial priming pump means moving fish is a one-person job: wheel it into place, prime, and start pumping.

Easy to move around site
The balanced 'wheelbarrow' design and large pneumatic tires let one person move the pump between tanks or cages, even over rough ground.

Reconfigures to your existing hoses
Camlock fittings on both inlet and outlet let the same pump adapt to different pipe sizes, from 2" up to a full 10" line.

An impeller built to protect fish
A cast, balanced, hand-polished single-vane impeller is the key to gentle handling: fish and shrimp pass through safely at high capacity.
Remote control
Available as an option on all electrically powered VAKI Fish Pumps, the remote control puts complete control of the fish pump where it’s most needed, with the operator. The wireless transmitter has a long range and is weatherproof and ergonomic. Its functions allow the operator to turn the prime pump on & off, impeller motor on & off, and control the rotational speed of the impeller.
The priming system
The self-priming system means that moving fish becomes a simple one person operation. Simply wheel the pump to your desired position, put the inlet hose into the tank or cage, prime and start pumping. All pumps feature fully variable drive systems, meaning fine control over pump speeds can be achieved. The powerful priming pump means that a 6” or 8“ line can very quickly be primed from up to 3m below the pump. Restoring prime, if it is lost, is also very straight forward just turn the prime pump back on. The pump can be used with any combination of different camlock sizes. Larger diameter output lines can also be used.

How it works
Position the pump
Wheel the cart-mounted pump to your tank or cage on its large pneumatic tires. The balanced design means one person can move it alone, even over rough ground.
Prime the line
Put the inlet hose in place and start the rugged industrial priming pump. A 6" or 8" line primes in moments, even from up to 3m below the pump.
Pump fish gently
Fish stay in water the entire transfer. Fine speed control and optional wireless remote control put the whole operation in one person's hands.

Take control of fish handling with VAKI SmartFlow
Connecting your Smart Pumps, Graders, and Counters in one intelligent system. Improve accuracy, reduce manual work and support fish welfare with automated control and real-time insights that help you make confident decisions.
Learn about SmartFlowTHE PUMPING CHALLENGE
Every transfer demands care and control
Protecting fish welfare
Crowding and handling during transfers can stress fish and cause injuries. The challenge is to move fish efficiently while keeping them in water and minimising physical impact.
Keeping a steady, controlled flow
Fish need to move at a rate that the entire handling system can manage. Uneven flow and interruptions can create bottlenecks during counting and grading, prolonging the operation.
Managing time and workload
Moving equipment between tanks, setting up hoses and coordinating transfers takes time and people. Labour intensive handling adds physical strain and ties up staff needed elsewhere on the farm.
Common questions
It depends on fish size and required capacity. The 6" handles fish from 0.2g to 400g at up to 2,400 lpm, the 8" handles fish up to 1.2kg at up to 7,500 lpm, and the 10" handles fish up to 2.3kg at up to 14,000 lpm. Compare all three above, or request a quote and our sales team will help you choose.
Smart Pumps connect to VAKI SmartFlow for remote monitoring and automation. Basic Pumps operate standalone and don't integrate with SmartFlow.
VAKI Fish Pumps are used worldwide to move salmon, trout, char, tilapia, hybrid striped bass, mackerel, anchovy, yellow-tail, shrimp and other species.
Yes. Camlock fittings on both the inlet and outlet let the same pump adapt to different pipe sizes, from 2" up to a full 10" line.
Wireless remote control is available as an option on all electrically powered VAKI Fish Pumps, giving the operator full control of priming, motor and speed from a distance.
Yes. Fish stay in water at all times during pumping, and the impeller is cast, balanced and hand-polished specifically to move fish and shrimp safely.
